Ericeira

26. jul. 2017

Hi Love,
Last month I went to Ericeira in Portugal as a mini-vacay before I had to meet up with a friend from my volunteering time in Vietnam.

There's not much to do in Ericeira other than surfing - or, that's what people would like to think. Other then the awesome surfing community and atmosphere there's the city centre, the beaches and well the night life isn't bad either.

What I loved about Ericeira was the blue colours around town. It reminded me a lot of Greece, Santorini and the other small island with the white and blue themes.
( which I of cause forgot to take any pictures of)

If you do go to Ericeira, go for a walk along the beaches to the city centre. In the morning go for a few hours of surfing while the waves are still good. For dinner time, go for some of the amazing seafood there if you're into that. Portugal is definitely known for their sea-food and well, why not when in Portugal.

It's worth a visit. You won't regret it.

#3 Vienna: Museums to see

24. jul. 2017

Hi Love,

Again, I will try to gush my love for Vienna at the bare minimum but the city is really absolutely beautiful and romantic.

Vienna is known for its history and art. Hello, Mozart! So if you can, go to the 'Theater an der Wien' and hear a opera if you're into that. While I was there the last time in February I heard Peer Gynt and the entire show was amazing!

There's also a lot of museums you can explore and see while in Vienna. I mean, they have a Museum Quartier! What is there not to love. After four times there I have yet gone through every Museum yet.   If you're planning to go and see a lot of the attraction while there I would recommend you to buy a Vienna Card, so the attractions can become cheaper if you're not a student the entry tickets can quickly run up.

Leopold Museum: Is one of my favourite. probably because it was here I was first introduced to Egon Schiele and his art work. The colours are done in such a genius way that you cannot stop looking at them. The museum house one of the largest collections of modern Austrian art, featuring artists such as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka and Richard Gerstl.

Albertina: This place is beautiful and very accessible place in the inner Stadt of Vienna. Beware a lot of tourists and artsy Viennese people is to be seen there. Not long ago they had the most stunning collection of Monet housed in the museum that I have ever seen.

Belvedere Palace: is the perfect picnic place and are really recommended. Their gardens are beautiful and lovely and the atmosphere couldn't be better. Do not cheat yourself from seeing it, that would be a mistake! Last I was there they still had the exhibition from Ai Weiwei from the 21-haus outside around the springs. It's close to 21-haus where they usually do a lot of post-modern art exhibition.

Schönbrunn Palace: It's called mini Versailles. Do I need to say more? Go there for the gardens, go there for the mini hike to the view point over the city. Just do it. Inside there's featured many art pieces from Austria's Great Rise.

Motion Picture Lately #1

26. mar. 2015

Hi Love

I find it so hard to sit still for a movie, if not for the people I usually sit with when seeing a movie I wouldn't have the ability to do so. But I love movies - when they are good and also when it's really, really bad! Because, then I would have a conversation-starter and a topic to choose should I ever need this.

Here are some of those I have seen lately:

Well, this can't come as a surprise. I was there, in the theater with half of the worlds population to see the very talked-about Fifty Shades of Grey. To be earnest it was, awkward, but okay - but the scene with the toast, God, to awkward...

The Kingsman was not a expected movie I have wanted to see - but my brother convince me to see it with him, so... I like it. I got a Alex Rider-kind-of-feeling even if it wasn't a children movie at all. Furthermore I liked the British accent - which girl do not love that?

There is not much to say about this movie, only that it's brilliant! I cried to hard to this movie that the man sitting next to me properly hated me more and more though the movie...

Two words - Jake Gyllenhaal. I just love him, even when he is creepy and evil!

Marco Polo

2. jan. 2015

Hey Love

So, I'm in love.

I know I have said these words before but let me get a minute to explain to you why!
Look at him - that man is a handsome one. But it's not him this blogpost is about but the Netflix tv-serie Marco Polo.

You do not know how long I have been waiting for this kind of tv-serie. I kind of tired of the typical comedy and drama series. These days they tend to bored me to death.
But this serie - I'm telling you is amazing the development, character building and the history in it (I'm a bit of a history geek) is amazing.

I have so much good things to say about it I do not even know where to begin - so I would just advised you to start seeing the serie as soon as possible. - And since many properly have a mean hangover after the NYE's celebrations. Why not then used the day on some time in front the television as you would do under normal circumstances.

I hope you would enjoy it - as much as I do.

Ciao

Bookish Poem Reader

27. maj 2014

While in NY I picked up a few books, I'm kind of historian or poems book type - so it wasn't really weird when I pick this book up Immortal Poems of english language, because hallo if the titel doesn't make you want to pick book then the look would. I don't know but as I have said before I'm a sucker for packaging and this little thing just look so amazing. I completely recommend it for other poem reader. Since I'm not from a english speaking country I didn't get to read these poems when I was still in school or I did, but only a very few of them.
You can get this in Barnes and Noble - which I kind of jealous about. Really Americans have everything, okay I only kidding. But I would love a Barnes and Nobel in my town so I can go book crazy in there.
You can get it here for 8.99 dollars.

Book Nerd & Proud

9. apr. 2014

I'm what you would call a book nerd - well, I'm kind of proud of it.
Poems is what I really enjoy reading, not too long, not too short on meanings - short sentences with a lot of meaning and extra thoughts to think about later. Well, maybe years later were you can talk about it with your friends over coffee - love the idea already.

Well and since I'm a girl and have to confirm the stereotype of loving all things that have some red, girly and love in it - I'm presenting you .... Love & Misadventure

- The author just makes me want to invite her over for tea and colorful macaroons and talk about all the boys you ever have in your life, both those you have crushed on and those idiots who dumped you.

Sneak-peak of something wonderful
- Such a talent!

Bond... James Bond

17. feb. 2014

Do you love James Bond? Then here is a show for you about the man behind The Man. This show is about Ian Fleming the author behind the most dashing character in history! The show is based on facts from Flemings biography and letters by his acquaintances.

/ & May I say it's absolutely amazing, another + is Dominic Cooper!
